Transformation of the Day: Cint lost 45 pounds. She found herself depressed, isolated, feeling unhealthy, and not being active with her son. She focused on healthy eating habits and health to turn her life around. Check out her journey.

What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My son and my health. I wasn’t active with my son anymore. I use to play all sports with him. When I gained weight, I gave him excuses. I could feel how unhealthy I was. My heart used to flutter a lot, to the point I thought I was going to die. I was also depressed, and I had given up on life to a point I wanted to end it. Dealing with my weight was mentally very hard. I stopped going out, stopped dating, and stopped trying to look presentable. I also pushed my friends away.

How did you change your eating habits?
I slowly cut things out, but that wasn’t working. So, I told myself, “It’s go time.” I detoxed while drinking green smoothies. I stopped eating late at night, as well. When I start to crave, I’ll drink apple cider vinegar water to suppress my craving.

I cut out fried food, soda, sugar, bread, pasta, and any greasy foods. I ate kale, spinach, collard greens, fruits, vegetables, baked chicken breast, salmon, shrimp, almonds, apples, and blueberries.

What did your workout routine consist of?
Honestly, I didn’t work out, but I’m starting to work out now. I don’t recommend not doing some type of workout during your journey. I was just still lazy. I didn’t want to build muscle on fat, but everyone body isn’t the same. I recommend cardio while losing weight, and once you lose some pounds, tone up. Do HIIT and full body workouts.

Now I workout six days a week, Mon-Sat. Not working out while losing weight can produce results you don’t want. For example, my arms aren’t where I want them to be, and I believe it’s because I didn’t work out.

What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 185 pounds, and my current weight is 140 pounds. My height is 5’1″.

When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I have been off and on, but in 2018, I became dedicated. It took a year to finally reach 150 pounds and four months to reach 140 pounds. My goal is 130 pounds.

Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No. However, I do want a boob job, but for now, I’m trying the natural way.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
You can be your worst enemy. Also, don’t let anyone tell you what you should look like. Do things because you want to because regardless of your weight, people will always have something negative to say. It’s about your happiness!

What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Prepare yourself mentally. Feed your self positive thoughts love who you are changing the things you aren’t happy with doesn’t mean you don’t love yourself. You love yourself enough to make the changes you want.
